Accepting Individual clients

I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist (MD 03333) with 33 years of professional experience. I treat adults with depression, anxiety, grief and the particular grief of pregnancy/infant loss. I deeply believe collaboration between client and therapist has the potential to relieve suffering. Trained in a number of psychotherapeutic approaches, I tailor my technique to meet your individual needs and adjust them as we move through different stages of treatment. My skills include psychodynamic, early attachment, cognitive-behavioral, interdependent, neurology informed and mindfulness informed treatment. Each adds another dimension to our understanding of who you are and guides our efforts to reduce your suffering.

In addition to 33 years of private practice, I worked at the Johns Hopkins Psychiatry Department for over two decades, and prior to relocating to Baltimore taught and supervised doctoral students, and supervised psychologists and social workers as the coordinator of the Jacobi Hospital outpatient Dual Diagnosis program.

Training in Individual Psychotherapy:

  • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, Ferkauf Graduate School of Professional Psychology, Albert Einstein Medical School Campus, New York
  • Internship, Jacobi Hospital, Albert Einstein Medical School Campus, New York
  • Additional extensive course work in psychoanalytically informed psychotherapy, treatment of complex trauma, Dialectical Behavioral informed therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, VasoVagal Theory and Mindfulness informed therapy.

My Goal as Your Therapist:

Our first step is to explore how you came to be who you are and how you came to the suffering that brings you here. As we do this, we will begin to develop a relationship based on trust and commitment to our collaboration. Using a variety of techniques we examine ways to manage painful emotions, understand how they play out with the people you are closest to and look for new ways to experience your life.
